Quick post to catch up for yesterday.
Popped to Asda on the morning see if I could find the PJ's my child wanted, then spotted reduced Turkey (for Sunday roast) and gammon steaks for though the week.
IN
Turkey
Gammon Steaks
OUT
Fish.
Made fish and chips for tea yesterday much better than a take away even better if I could stop burning the batter so much.
I shallow fry my fish
Get one plate with flour on
One bowl with 2 eggs and a table spoon of flour (mixed well)
Another bowl bread crumbs toast 2 slices of bread whizz it in the blender when cooled - This will be you bread crumb.
Flour the fish
Dip it in the egg mixutre
Roll the fish in the bread crumbs and fry in a hot oil in frying pan - Don't add much oil.
Fry on each side for 10 minutes, I keep turning it, if the oil smokes too much turn heat down a bit.
When the fish is cooked drain off on a plate with kitchen towel.
I serve with chips and mushy peas or Mash mushy peas and gravy.
