Uses for bicarbonate of soda.
Bicarb has so many different uses I always have a box under the sink now ready fro when I need it. I will list some of the uses I know of or tried my self.
It can be used as an oven cleaner sprinkle it over the bottom of the oven till it is completly covered, the use a spray bottle spray the bicarb till its damp (not soaking) leave it to it and go back to it after a while if its drying out dampen slightly again and leave it alone (this might be best done over night) the next day it should be easily scooped up and thrown away. You will need to rinse the bottom of the oven well to rid of the residue.
Use it as a cream cleanser, sprinkle it where you need to clean rub where you need to clean with a little water and rinse well. (this will also remove crayon from most walls)
Bad smells in carpets sprinkle of the carpet where you have the problem and vacuum up the following day (or leave it down for at least 4-6 hours)
Remove bad smells from plastic food tubs, such as lunch boxes - place in hot water but scalding hot add a good few dashes to the water. This can also be done with flasks and the like.
Chucking some of the stuff down plug holes followed by hot water should keep them from bad smells.
You can add it to a spray bottle and fabric softener and hot water to make a fabric refresher (see me earlier post)
Tooth paste although I wouldn't do this all the time as it is too abrasive.
Floor cleaner, chuck a few table spoons in your bucket with hot water.
Foot soak, couple of table spoons it warm water and soak...Make sure the water isn't too hot.
Washing dishes to cut grease few table spoons with you washing up liquid.
Unclog drains half a cup of bicarb and half cup white vinegar (or even malt) pour the bicarb down plug hole the vinegar
These have worked for me but might not for you please use these with caution, I will do another use for bicarb post again another time.
